Beware of your own ego it can undermine your own progress

Of all the things great things I experienced and learned today at work in R&D the one thing I can honestly say that was the most educational was the inability of a particular person to budge there ego to solve a problem because they believe they hold all the cards and do not have to compromise. It is a shame to see an individual put so much personal effort into figuring something out and to only undermine their own effort because they will not budge or compromise and accept the missing pieces needed to complete their puzzle from a fellow colleague. It will be sad for this individual when he is passed by with an advancement that surpasses his meager attempt to be vainglorious.

The highest form of development amongst civilized man is the conductance of business in the spirit of synchronous and harmony towards a mutually beneficial endeavor, where both parties can attain what they want without violating the rights of others or undermining their own efforts with their ego.
